Our Story - Pet Memories

Our Story – Pet Memories

1966 and a gorgeous little smooth haired fox terrier puppy arrived at our home. After an exciting ½ hour run around his new surroundings he curled up in the hallway, with his new playmates Lynne (aged 4) and Janice (aged 10). Duke was a special part of my life for 12 years. He was always there when I needed a friend and was always pleased to see me. When he died I was devastated. It was the first time I'd lost a close friend. Duke had been a special part of our family and my dad and I made a little wooden cross for him.

Twenty years on and my children enjoy life with family pets. When our cat Pepsi met an untimely end at only one year old, we looked for a memorial for her, but to my surprise they were only available through marble specialists. My husband Keith and I went about finding some other way of producing a memorial, which we found through a friend who understood what we were looking for as she has been involved with pet rescue organisations and has a back garden full of animals who need that extra care.

From our original three memorials in the range we now offer a choice of over 60. They remain an ideal way to remember the much cherished friendship and loyalty of a best friend. Our children have certainly benefited from us openly sharing the grief of the loss of a pet and I hope that our story will help you and your family in remembering an old friendship or a friendship recently lost.
